김추수(1989~)는 다원예술가이자 제너럴리스트 디자이너로서 광범위하게 활동하는 작가이다. 최근 다원예술가로서 유년시절이나 외로움, 그리움 등의 감정에 대해 이야기하며 그림자, 빛, 나무, 하늘, 구름 등 자연현상이나 특별한 순간의 분위기와 특성을 끌어와 따뜻한 심리적인 공간을 연출한다. 사람들이 그 공간을 각자만의 방식으로 개입하여 경험할 수 있도록 하며 작가 본인을 비롯하여 작가와 비슷한 감정을 겪은 누구든지 작품을 통해 위로받을 수 있기를 바란다. 시각, 청각, 촉각 등 복합적인 감각으로 경험할 수 있는 공간을 연출하기에 기획자로서 컴퓨터 프로그래밍, 음악, 사운드테크놀러지 등의 강점을 가진 다른 창작자들과 협업으로 프로젝트를 진행한다. 현재 대한민국역사박물관 전시디자이너로 근무하였고, ‘폴앤워터스튜디오’ 대표로서 다채로운 색채와 간결한 형태를 활용하여 음악, 무용, 연극을 위한 무대디자인을 하며 박물관의 전시나 교육프로그램을 위한 그래픽디자인도 해 오고 있다. 협업을 통해 다른 창작자의 협업자로서 역량을 늘리고 있다.

Chusu Kim (1989~) is an active interdisciplinary artist and generalist designer. Her interdisciplinary work focuses on topics often pulled from her own experiences of loneliness and loss, as well as the journey of healing wounds acquired as a result of these events. Rather than emotions such as sadness, depression, or other negative emotions, Kim wishes audience members who have experienced similar somber events to come away from her self-reflective environments with comfort and warmth. Kim strives to reconstruct these spaces by incorporating psychological metaphors, mainly inspired by natural phenomena such as shadows, light, trees, grass, wind, sky, and clouds. By collaborating with other creators, Kim creates spaces that can be experienced through multiple senses, such as sight, hearing, and touch, through computer programming, music, and sound technology. In these collaborations, Kim takes up the role of initial ideation and directorial duties. In addition to her creative activities, Kim currently works as an exhibition designer developing museum exhibitions and educational programs at the National Museum of Korean History. As the CEO of Fall&Water Studio, she applies strong contrast, colorful colors, and shapes to her music, dance, and theatre elements within her stage and graphic designs.
